What we haul

If it fits in the truck
and isn't on fire,
we'll take it.

01

Furniture

Couches, sectionals, mattresses, dressers, tables, bed frames, office chairs. Up two flights or down to the basement, we'll lift it.

02

Appliances

Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers. We disconnect, drain where needed, and route to the right recycler.

03

Yard waste

Branches, bagged debris, fencing, soil, garden cleanup. Spring + fall cleanouts are our busy seasons. Bring on the rain.

04

Garage & basement cleanouts

That box pile that's been there for five years. Tools, totes, old bikes, holiday decorations. We'll empty the whole room.

05

E-waste

Old TVs, monitors, towers, printers, cables. Routed to certified recycling, not the landfill where we can help it.

06

Renovation debris

Drywall, flooring offcuts, cabinets, fixtures from small reno jobs. Bagged or loose, doesn't matter.

We're upfront

A few things
we can't take.

We follow BC waste rules and we don't run a hazmat truck. If you're not sure about something on this list, text us a photo first. Easier than guessing.

  • Hazardous chemicals, paint, solvents
  • Asbestos or anything containing it
  • Propane tanks, oxygen tanks, fuel
  • Wet, leaking, or biohazard material
  • Live ammunition or firearms
How it works

Four steps.
No surprises.

  1. 01

    Call or text

Tell me what you've got. Photos help. I answer the phone myself or call back same-day.

  2. 02

    I quote you

Real number based on volume + access + dump fees. No "starting at" tricks.

  3. 03

    We show up

Most jobs same-day or next morning. Two-hour window, not "all day."

  4. 04

    It's gone

We load it, sweep up, you pay. E-waste and reusables get routed to the right place.

Pricing

It depends.
Here's the truth.

I price by volume in the truck plus access (stairs, distance to truck) and dump fees for the load type. No app, no calculator on this page. That's deliberate.

Call or text and you'll get a real number in five minutes. If a job ends up smaller than I quoted, the price drops. That's how it should work.

¼ truck

A few large items. Couch, mattress, washer, a few boxes.

½ truck

Garage corner, small reno, one room of stuff.

Full truck

Whole basement, full backyard cleanout, big move-out.

Where we work

Two seasons.
Two service areas.

I run the truck out of the Lower Mainland in the summer when I'm home, and out of Greater Victoria during the school year. If you're outside these areas, ask anyway. I'll tell you straight.

Gavin Robbie, owner of GR Junk Removal
Meet the owner

I'm Gavin.
I drive the truck.

I started GR Junk Removal while studying at UVic. The idea was simple: most junk haulers either ghost you, upsell you, or send a stranger in a van. I wanted to run something my friends, family, and neighbours would actually use.

So that's the model. I'm the guy on the phone, the guy in the truck, the guy hauling your couch up your basement stairs. If you book me, you're getting me. Not a call center, not a franchise, not a stranger.

Summer in the Lower Mainland because that's where I'm from. School year in Victoria because that's where school is. If you've got junk in either area, let's talk.
